CM constitutes Standing Committee for J&K State Sports Council

JAMMU, Oct 1: In exercise of the powers vested to him vide Rule-12, Rule-19-B (viii) of the constitution of J&K State Sports Council, president of the Council, Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed has constituted 11-member Standing Committee, out of the newly elected members of the Council to carry out the day-to-day business of the Council.
Minister for Youth Services and Sports, Imran Raza Ansari has been nominated Chairman of the Standing Committee, while Administrative Secretaries of Planning & Development, Finance and Youth Services and Sports will be the members.
Secretary J&K State Sports Council, Javaid Ahmed Shah will be the member secretary, while the other members include joint secretaries Kashmir and Jammu-ZamIr Ahmad Thakur and Shiv Kumar Sharma; Ranjit Kalra, Rifat Abdullah, Siddharth Sharma and Wahi-Ur-Rehman Parra.
It is pertinent to mention here that Standing Committee is the highest decision making body of the Sports Council.
