CME on Sepsis organized in GMC Jammu

JAMMU, Nov 21: Department of Anesthesia and ICU, Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu under the leadership of Dr Ashutosh Gupta (Principal & Dean, GMC Jammu) in association with ISCCM, City Branch Jammu successfully hosted a CME event on Sepsis with the theme “Prevent, Treat, Defeat Sepsis”.
During the CME, Dr Parvaiz A Koul (Director, SKIMS, Srinagar) delivered engaging presentations, sharing his expertise on various aspects of Pneumococcal Vaccination and adult vaccination strategies.
Dr JP Singh (Clinical Director at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, Jammu) was the guest of honour. He shared his wisdom and experience on the increasing trend of multi drug resistant microbes and the rampant use of antibiotics.
Head of Department, Anaesthesia, Dr Anju Jamwal, was the chairperson of the CME while the organizing team was comprised of Dr Anjali Mehta (organizing and general secretary, ISCCM), Dr Vanilla Chopra (HoD ICU SMVDSSH and president ISCCM), Dr Shruti Gupta, Dr Renu Wakhloo and Dr Abdul Ghani. Dr Heena Gupta anchored the event.
Speakers on the occasion were from Department of Anaesthesia (GMC Jammu) including Dr Anjali Mehta, Dr Vanilla Chopra, Dr Renu Wakhloo, Dr Arti Mahajan, Dr Shmti Gupta, Dr Heena Saini, Dr Sandeep Dogra, Dr Rahul Gupta, Dr Anupama Shah and Dr Surjit Kumar.
HoDs and senior faculty members from other departments–Dr Fayaz Ahmed Wani, Dr Gumeet, Dr Shazia Hamid, Dr Vijayan Chandel, Dr Abdul Majeed, Dr Sanjay Bhasin, Dr Sanjeev Kumar Gupta, Dr Abdul Ghani, Dr Maneesh, Dr Ghanshyam Saini, Dr Ashu Jamwal, Dr Sandeep Dogra, Dr Jyotsana Suri, Dr Raju Bhandari, Dr Rahul Gupta, Dr Rajeev Gupta and Dr Rakesh Behl also actively participated in the CME.
From the Department of Anaesthesia, Dr Anita Vig, Dr Rajesh Mahajan, Dr Madam Kotoch and Dr Naine Bandrala also shared their views.
