Coalition deceived people’s trust to grab power: Mir

SRINAGAR, June 11: JKPCC chief G.A. Mir said that hundred days of Coalition Government in the State have proved a total failure on all fronts. Tall claims of Mr. Mufti and Mr. Modi with regard to overall development of the State have proved a cruel joke to the people of the State.
Mufti Government is now hiding its failure to secure financial assistance for the worst kind of devastation and now befooling people by heavily underestimating loss. JK PCC chief said while addressing a day long political convention of District Congress Committee, Srinagar today.
Mir said Mufti-Modi friendship has proved costly for the people of Jammu and Kashmir State as the alliance was formed through deceit and by robbing the trust of people, who voted against BJP in Kashmir and against PDP in Jammu.
JK PCC chief said that both Mufti and Modi back stabbed the people for the pitty political interests . The alliance has proved dangerous for the people of J&K and the move aimed at saffronizing Kashmir is fraught with dangerous consequences, he added. Congress Party will stand like a rock to scuttle the nefarious designs of PDP BJP alliance, he said, adding the contradictions in their approach towards Jammu and Kashmir have disturbed socio political development and it has sent wrong and confusing signals in the State.
JK PCC chief lashed out at Mufti led Coalition for its failure to mitigate the sufferings of flood affected people like traders, businessmen, shopkeepers etc who have suffered heavily due to September last year floods. He criticized the coalition for misleading the people on the name of Relief and Rehabilitation and added that even it was not able to ensure supply of rations to the people particularly in far flung areas of the State.
Terming Congress Party as an instrument of service to the People, JK PCC chief exhorted the Party workers to remain steadfast in serving the people to the best of their ability.
