Coconut oil up on local demand

NEW DELHI, Mar 8: Coconut oil prices rose by Rs 50 at the wholesale market here today on some local demand.
Other edible and non-edible oils, however, held steady in absence of worthwhile activity.
Traders said some local demand along with higher advices from producing region led to rise in coconut oil prices.
Coconut oil rose by Rs 50 to Rs 1,800-1,850 per tin.
The following were today’s quotations per quintal:
Oilseeds: Mustardseed 2,950-3,050 and Groundnut Seed 2,150-2,900.
Vanaspati Ghee (15-litre tin) 1,160-1,290.
Edible oils: Groundnut Mill Delivery (Gujarat) 7,500, Groundnut Solvent Refined (per tin) 1,900-1,950, Mustard expeller (Dadri) 7,550, Mustard Pakki Ghani (per tin) 1,290-1,370, Mustard Kachi Ghani (per tin) 1,375-1,475,Sunflower 6,300, Sesame Mill Delivery 11,600, Soybean Refined Mill Delivery (Indore) 7,750, Soyabean Degum (Kandla) 7,500,Crude Palm Oil
(Ex-Kandla) 5,700, Cottonseed Mill Delivery (Haryana) 6,350, Palmolein (RBD) Rs 6,950, Palmolein (Kandla) 6,600, Rice Bran (phy) 3,800 and Coconut (per tin) 1,800-1,850.
Non-edible oils: Linseed 7,600, Mahuwa 4,000, Castor 9,600-9,700, Neem 5,300-5,400, Rice Bran 3,150-3,250 and Palm Fatty 3,200-3,300.
