JAMMU, Sept 30: NSS Unit of Government College for Women (GCW), Gandhi Nagar, Jammu organized a voluntary blood donation camp today in the College premises.
The camp was organized in collaboration with Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Region Jammu, PG Department of Blood Transfusion and Medicines, Government Medical College, Jammu and J&K State Aids Control Society, Jammu.
Dr Kiran Bakshi, principal, GCW Gandhi Nagar, Jammu inaugurated the camp in which more than 61 units of blood were donated by the students of the college.
Dr Vijay Sawhney, HoD Blood Transfusion Department, GMC, Jammu and RC Puri, Secretary, IRCS, Jammu region, delivered lectures on the importance of the Voluntary Blood Donation and asked the students to come forward for this noble cause by donating blood.
