DODA, May 27: Combine Cricket Club Madhya Pradesh and Jodhpur Cricket Club outplayed their respective rivals to advance in the ongoing All India 10th Gufran Memorial T20 Cricket Tournament, being played at Sports Stadium, here.
The Tournament was organized by Young Star Cricket Club (YSCC) Doda and sponsored by J&K Bank, Bajaj Allianz and Rashtriya Rifles Rajput Unit Doda.
In the first match, Combine Cricket Club Madhya Pradesh outplayed West Cricket Club Uttar Pradesh by 62 runs.
Batting first after winning the toss, Combine Cricket Club Madhya Pradesh made 160 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Prashant top scored with 40 runs, while Nilesh contributed 16 runs to the total. For West Cricket Club Utter Pradesh, Feroz and Wasim shared 2 wickets each.
In reply, West Cricket Club Uttar Pradesh managed 98 runs in the allotted 20 overs, losing 4 wickets in the process, thus lost the match by 62 runs. Asim made 23 runs, while Feroz contributed 20 runs to the total. For Combine Cricket Club, Ravinder and Santosh claimed one wicket each. Prashant was declared as man of the match for his superb batting performance.
In another match, Jodhpur Cricket Club defeated Youth Cricket Club Akkramabaad by a narrow margin of 10 runs.
Batting first, Jodhpur Cricket Club made 98 runs by losing 8 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Saqib scored 42 runs, while Rajkumar added 15 runs to the total. For Youth Cricket Club Akkarmabad, Zakir and Mohit took 2 wickets each.
In reply, Youth Cricket Club Akkarmabad scored 88 runs in 20 overs, thus lost the match by a narrow margin of 10 runs in a low scoring game. Asif was the top scorer with 19 runs, while Yasin contributed18 runs. For Jodhpur Cricket Club, Ashwani and Santosh took 1 wicket each.
Saqib of Jodhpur Cricket Club was declared as man of the match for superb performance.
The match was officiated by Darmesh Bhardwaj and Sanjay Singh as umpires, while Rinku Bhadouriya acted as scorer.
