JAMMU, Nov 19: SPMR Commerce College bagged overall trophy in the Inter-Collegiate Boxing Championship, organized by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu, here.
Earlier, in Light Fly Category, Prabhakar of Commerce College clinched gold, Jagdev Singh of PG Deptt bagged silver, while the bronze medals went to Anshuman of MAM College and Kulwinder Singh of Bhargava College.
In Fly Weight Category, Manoj of PG Deptt claimed gold, Sanjeev Sharma of GGM Science College clinched silver, while Sourav of Commerce College and Gourav of MAM College claimed bronze medals.
In Bantom Category, Nitin Plasar of MAM College and Shubam of Commerce College clinched gold and silver respectively, while the bronze medal in this category went to Pradeep of PG Department.
In Light Weight Category, Hardesh of GGM Science College won gold, Hemant of MAM College got silver and the bronze was claimed by Varuneshwar of Bhargava College and Rockey of PG Department.
In Light Welter Category, Ashish Chalotra of PG Deptt claimed gold, Govind of GGM Science College bagged silver and the bronze medals were claimed by Rasit Ali of GDC Poonch and Prem of MAM College.
Anuj Vaid of Commerce College and Rajat Bhargava of GGM Science College bagged gold and silver in Welter Category respectively, while Sudam Altaf Khan of New Age Phinter and Ajay Kumar of GDC Akhnoor claimed bronze medals in this category.
Rajat of MAM College clinched gold in Middle Weight Category, Anil Chib of Trikuta Degree College won silver, while the bronze medals went to Sanjeev of PG Deptt and Mohd Suhail of GDC Poonch.
In Light Weight Category, Pankaj Raina of RK Degree College clinched gold, Amit Pandit of Commerce College got silver, while Anil Singh of Bhargava College Inzamam-ul-Hassan of GDC Poonch claimed bronze medals.
Abhinandan of Commerce College won gold in Heavy Weight Category, Nandan of GDC Poonch bagged silver, while Aman of PG Deptt and Sahil Charak of Bhargava College claimed bronze medals.
In Super Heavy Weight Category, Rohit Charak of Commerce College clinched gold, while Pankaj of PG Department and Nahim Mumtaz of gdc Poonch claimed silver and bronze medals respectively.
The bouts were officiated by Satyakam Sharma, Sanjeev Jamwal, Aman Sangral, Raj Kumar, Rajesh Kumar, Sarfraz Choudhary, Raman Sharma and Sunil Sharma.
