JAMMU, May 29: Former Member Parliament (MP) and president Dogra Swabhimaan Sangthan Party (DSSP), Ch Lal Singh today claimed that he kept his promise with the people of Jammu by contesting elections.
While addressing the CWC of his party convened to discuss the post poll scenario, Ch Lal Singh said, ” Whatever be the result of the election, one thing is proved that I and my party kept its words with the public and did not compromise with any party and preferred regional sentiment over the personal political ambitions. The vision of DSSP is only the solution of the perpetual discrimination with Jammu,” he said.
Lal Singh further said that it was due to the paucity of time and rumours created by some vested interests in time of polling about our withdrawal from the election which led to such results. He said that the vision and the road map of the party is clear and the vision document of the DSSP is the only savior of the Jammu.
He disclosed that the party got registration letter only one day before the last day of filing the nomination paper at Jammu, due to which the booth level workers could not be constituted in most of the places. The main reason of the party performance is the poor reach out of the party officials to the every Jammuite because of the shortage of time. It is also observed that the party has a very good potential and the people of the Jammu are convinced with the vision document of the party.
All the senior leaders of the party affirmed that party will bounce back in the assembly elections and people understand that DSSP is only the party under the leadership of Ch Lal Singh that can meet the aspirations of all the people of Jammu province irrespective of any caste, creed and religion. They opined that Assembly elections will be purely on the basis of regional aspirations and people have will stand with DSSP in the time to come.
The party members also discussed the future strategy and also discussed the preparations for the Assembly elections.
