Concern over shortage of doctors, in DH Kishtwar, PHCs of distt

KISHTWAR, Sept 7: The members of Kishtwar civil society and social activists in a meting have expressed grave concern over the shortage of staff and medicines in district Hospital Kishtwar, PHCs of Keeru, Padder, Chatru and Dachan which has led to the problems of the people.
The meeting which was led by senior member of civil society and Congress leader Shamsher Singh Bhandari said people in far flung areas of Kishtwar are facing lot of problems due to lack of medicare facilities, doctors and para -medical staff.
The meeting said that many times patients die due to lack of medicare facilities and administration is paying no heed to it. It demanded that the doctors and para medical staff be immediately posted in DH Kishtwar and other primary health centers of the district.
The meeting also demanded upgradation of PHC Padder and PHC Chatru as sub district hospitals as it has been a long pending demand of the people in these areas.
