JAMMU, Apr 30: The inmates of Jagti township have reiterated their demand of posting teachers and lecturers in Camp schools of Jagti where students are facing many hardships due to lack of teaching staff.
In a statement issued here, today through Sunil Pandita a social activist the camp inmates said that despite the repeated pleas to the higher ups in Education Department they failed to post the teachers of various subjects in Camp Higher Secondary School and Middle School Jagti which is affecting the studies of the students. Pandita said it is unfortunate that the Government is not taking any steps to post the lecturers and teachers in the two camp schools and this way it is playing with the future of migrant students.
He warned that in case the Government failed to post the teachers in the two schools within one week the camp inmates will take to streets in protest.
He also expressed concern over water scarcity in the Jagti township and urged the authorities to solve the issue immediately.
