Concern over water scarcity in Durga Nagar, Baisaki Colony

JAMMU, Aug 14: Durga Nagar Welfare Committee in its meeting held under the chairmanship of Roshan Lal Raina expressed grave concern over water scarcity in the area. It said that the water is supplied after a gap of three days in the area putting the people to grave trouble,
The meeting accused PHE Department of its total callousness towards the people and warned that in case the water supply was not improved the people will take to streets.
It also expressed concern over disturbing of matador service to the area and warned authorities of serious consequences in case the decision is not revoked immediately.
Meanwhile residents of Baisaki Colony Muthi and other localities have also expressed grave concern over the water scarcity. The residents of the area said that despite repeated pleas to concerned engineers they failed to solve the problem. They said the water scarcity has become a grave problem due to the callousness of the Department.
