Concern over power crisis

JAMMU, Jan 6: The BJP rural district Akhnoor in its meeting here today held under the chairmanship of its president Sukh Dev Singh Jamwal has expressed grave concern over the deepening power crisis in the area.
The meeting said that the examinations of the students are coming near and severe power crisis have affected their studies. The meeting warned that in case the PDD authorities fail to maintain regular power supply in Rural belt of Jammu including Raipur Damana, BJP will be forced to come to streets and resort to agitation.
In an appeal to Chief Engineer, PDD, Mr Jamwal has appealed him to look into the matter and ensure regular power supply in the area.
He said sever cold wave conditions coupled with frequent power cuts have worsened the problems of the people.
The meeting among others was addressed by Omi Khajuria, district general secretary rural, Subash Bakshi, Narinder Singh, Sat Pal Verma, Jaswant Singh and Kewal Sharma.
