JAMMU, Nov 13: Cohesive unit of Jammu and Kashmir Ranji trophy team will take on Himachal Pradesh in its second 4-day match of the season at Dharamshala in HP from tomorrow.
Led by promising all-rounder Parvez Rasool, the confident J&K team, which won the first match against Goa in Srinagar, will rely in batting on opener Adil Reshi and middle-order batsmen including skipper Rasool, Majid Dar and Hadeep Singh, besides youngster Shubam Khajuria and mainstay Ian Dev Singh, who failed to deliver in the first outing of the season and will be waiting in the wings for the opportunity, while, on the other hand, Himachal Pradesh will bank on opener PS Chopra, Paras Dogra and skipper and all-rounder Rishi Dhawan in batting.
J&K have a decent medium pace attack in the form of Ramdayal Punia, Samiullah Beigh and Mohd Mudasir, while HP will heavily be relying on Rishi Dhawan and Vikramjeet Malik in the pace department.
Jammu and Kashmir have a decent spin bowling attack in off-spinner Parvez Rasool and wrist-spinner Manik Gupta, who possess all that is required at the bigger circuit, while HP have more part-time slow bowlers than the quality spinners in their kitty.
One hardly expects too many changes in the Playing XIs as both the teams have clinched fabulous victories in their opening matches.
Both the teams are almost equally balanced and the team which holds its nerves better in the crunch situation will be the winner.
