JAMMU, Apr 9: An impressive road show was taken out by the Congress party in Nowshera Constituency today under the leadership of former MLC and PCC chief spokesperson Ravinder Sharma.
The road show along with a large number of workers of Congress, NC and others started from Sunderbani towards Nowshera via Lamberi and culminated at Sunderbani via Seri.
The people welcomed the rally at Thanda Pani, Soit, Lamberi, Bagnoti, Rajal, Nowshera town, Bareri, Kulwant Chowk, Seri, Kangri, Bajabain and Kalideh and assured support to the Congress candidate.
Addressing series of meetings Ravinder Sharma lashed out at BJP for its failure to fulfill its commitments made during elections and its surrender for the sake of sharing power. He came down heavily on BJP for exploiting the sentiments of people for vote bank politics and blamed it for seeking votes on false commitments with people of Jammu region, but it totally exposed after sharing power in the state and ruling Centre for 5 years.
He said that not a single commitment was fulfilled by the BJP at the Centre and State. He blamed BJP for marring the interests of Jammu youth and compromising on its commitments to remain in power.
Ex-MLC further said that BJP is responsible for creating social and political uncertainty and it can go to any extent to remain in power. He said that all 25 MLAs and 2 MPs of BJP from Jammu region failed to come up to the expectations of people. They ignored the issues of development, especially of Jammu region, besides failed to get equitable share for Jammu people, especially for the unemployed youth.
He appealed to the people to cast their vote in favour of Congress candidate Raman Bhalla.
