JAMMU, Apr 1: Madan Lal Sharma, Congress -NC coalition candidate from Jammu Poonch Parliamentary constituency, today said that Congress was the only party which can maintain economic stability in the country particularly in J&K State.
Addressing a series of public meetings at Sai Kalan, Dewangarh, Bega Bera and road shows from Airport to R S Pura Bazar, he said that consecutive UPA Governments have   raised economic stability for poor and marginalized sections of the society by introducing various bills and implementing various Acts.
Highlighting the benefits of MG-NREGA NRHM etc, he said that during the last 10 years massive development in all vital sectors had taken place and change was visible and acknowledged by the people themselves.
Mr Sharma said that during his two tenures as MP, he tried his best to do justice with every section of the society in his Parliamentary constituency. Though the MP has specific role and meager funds at his disposal, yet I used my good offices and ensured substantial development in all essential sectors, he added.
He said that the Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, UPA chairperson, Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi paid a number of visits to the State to personally mitigate the problems of the people and ensured free flow of funds to accomplish the major projects initiated in the State.  “Congress is the only party which can provide justice to all sections of the society,” he said and cautioned the people against the hollow slogan mongers and communal forces, which make the politics of dividing the communities.
He said such forces only surface at the time of election and mislead the people by spreading false propaganda, inciting the sentiments of innocents.  “People should not fall prey to their nefarious designs and must teach them lesson,” he said.
Minister Raman Bhalla, MLC B R Kundal, R S Chib, Suman Bhagat, Taranjit Singh Tony, Rajesh Bittu, Darshan Raina, Romesh Motten and others also addressed the gatherings and appealed people to vote for Madan Lal.
