Sharma said that people must realize that militancy has brought havoc resulting into large scale destruction and loss of innocent lives, be it citizens or security forces. He also regretted to great harassment and sufferings faced by the Amarnath pilgrims due to its disruption in view of disturbed conditions, which is in no body’s interests. The minority community in the Kashmir Valley is also facing lot of hardships due atmosphere of insecurity. The State and Central Governments should ensure adequate security cover to the pilgrims as also all peace loving citizens in the State and deal with the situation with utmost care and highest degree of alert. It should clearly tell Pakistan to desist from its support to militancy in any form.
