JAMMU, Oct 18: Police today arrested Congress leader Salman Nizami for his involvement in posting threatening remarks against two doctors at his Facebook page and was lodged in Doda police station.
Nizami has been booked under FIR No. 145/2014 and Section 66 of IT Act and 504 and 506 RPC.
Police said Nizami had posted defamatory and threatening remarks against Dr Rehmatullah Khora and his son Dr Fahad Rameez Khora of Doda, who had lodged a complaint against Nizami. The doctors had downloaded entire threatening material from the Facebook and submitted that to police along with their complaint.
Police said Nizami has been arrested and was being questioned.
