Cong leaders struggling for political survival: Balbir

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Feb 15: BJP State spokesperson Balbir Ram Rattan, today said that  people of Jammu had minutely evaluated the performance of the Congress leaders as ministers in successive Governments in the past and hence rejected them for adopting Kashmir centric approach and neglecting Jammu in all matters. Now being out of power, these leaders are shedding crocodile tears for Jammu for their political survival.
Reacting to the charges of senior Congress leader & former minister Raman Bhalla wherein he has asked BJP to come clean on Jammu cause, Balbir in a hard hitting statement issued here today said that it is most funny question from the Ex-Minister which displays his un-willingness to digest the popularity of BJP and its 10 month splendid governance in coalition in the State.
“The Congress leader must accept that his party faced humiliating defeat as a result of total mis-governance, promoting corruption and deceiving the people of Jammu while in power”, Balbir said many Congress leaders of previous coalition are under scanner for violating the standing laws and for land grabbing and they need to come clean first.
The spokesperson said that during previous Governments, J&K stood at top position in corruption and land encroachment had become a routine matter but in 10 months rule of BJP not a single case of corruption took place and thousands of kanals of land got retrieved. Food Security Act was extended to the State with the initiative of BJP. Amnesty scheme for electricity consumers, provision of round the clock electricity to industry, developing River Tawi on the pattern of Sabarmati river, launching “ladli beti scheme”, enhancing one time assistance for widows, quality work on black toping of roads, accelerating work for early completion of artificial lake and Mubrark Mandi Heritage are just few works of PDP-BJP coalition to remind the Congress leader.
