JAMMU, Apr 4: BJP State general secretary Yudhvir Sethi today said that Congress and regional parties like National Conference (NC) and People’s Democratic Party (PDP) were inimical to peace and development in Jammu and Kashmir. These parties, he said misguided youth, looted state exchequer and promoted dynastic rule during past 70 years.
During door to door campaign, Yudhvir said had these parties not been there, J&K would have seen a progressive and peaceful state like any other in the country. He said Gandhis, Abdullahs and Muftis didn’t let youth progress and instead pushed them towards violence and militancy. Today also when a ray of hope is visible in Kashmir these leaders are issuing seditious statements merely to gain some foothold.
Yudhvir urged people to vote BJP to power and reject divisive politics of these parties. He said NC demand separate Prime Minister for J&K but desires to get into Indian Parliament. This party boycotted ULB polls but for LS election, its chief is running across the State. Strangely PDP and Congress are also sailing in same boat. He added that these parties will never allow people to progress but will amass everything for self.
Asking people to check past record, he said only Abdullahs, Muftis and Gandhis or leaders with their mercies had been ruling Jammu and Kashmir but commoners of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh lacked even basic facilities. “Ever since BJP came to power at the Centre, fate of people of J&K stands changed. They are seeing progress and prosperity and if elected to power in J&K as well, this pace will be doubled,” he added.
Yudhvir Sethi said the way Congress president Rahul Gandhi is unable to find any safe parliamentary constituency, it’s established that the party has lost ground as well as faith of people in its leadership. Sethi said Congress stands exposed and its candidates who were indulged in corrupt practices are feeling the heat of people’s anger against them.
