JAMMU, Feb 10: Chairman SC Department of Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee, Karan Bhagat called on AICC Incharge Jammu and Kashmir Rajni Patil (MP) in New Delhi and apprised her about the various issues of SC community in JK UT.
Bhagat said that there is delay in implementing all the schemes launched by UPA for the upliftment of SC community. Scholarship for SC students has not reached for the last 3 years. The Government has kept its eyes closed on the issue of atrocities against SCs. There is major fall in release of SC/ST funds during last five years.
Bhagat also discussed various ways and means to strengthen the Congress party at all levels in Jammu and Kashmir. He requested the party high command that due representation should be given to SC people in the organization at all levels including wards, blocks, districts and PCC.
