GAYA: Within hours of Congress promising to review Armed Forces Special Power Act (AFSPA) in Jammu and Kashmir in its manifesto, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today castigated the party saying, “Congress has strengthened the roots of terrorism in the country during its long tenure in power.”
Mr Modi while addressing a public meeting here to seek votes in favour of NDA candidates for Lok Sabha elections, said that Congress had strengthened the roots of terrorism in the country by its soft approach toward a appease particular community for votes.
When Congress was in power, terrorists conducted serial blasts in several cities of the country including New Delhi, Varanasi and Ayodhya, he said. Such terrorist activities had become order of the day and a large number of innocent people used to lose their lives in such incidents, he added. (AGENCIES)
