JAMMU, Apr 28: High Court today directed the Government to consider the petitioners for promotion to the post of Chief Engineer strictly in accordance with rules.
The direction was passed in a petition filed by Paramjit Singh Seghal and AK Gandotra seeking direction to the State to consider their cases for promotion/placement as Chief Engineers, which have been stalled by the respondent due to registration of FIR by the Vigilance Organization.
After hearing Advocate Abhinav Sharma appearing for the petitioners, Justice Tashi Rabstan issued notice to the respondents. “Subject to objections and till next date of hearing before the Bench, respondents are directed to consider the case of the petitioners for promotion to the post of Chief Engineers strictly in accordance with rules”, High Court said.
