JAMMU, June 6: All J&K PoJK 1947 Sharnarthi Intellectual Forum convened a meeting of its Core Committee under the chairmanship of Adv Amrik Singh which was also addressed by Surjit Singh its general secretary.
The meeting discussed the latest Domicile Law amended by the J&K UT Government which states that by virtue of this law every citizen of UT has to obtain a domicile certificate to prove their domicile identity. The Forum expressed its reservation in this regard and elaborated that since the PoJK Sharnarthis are the originates of J&K and have obtained their PRC by completing all the prescribed rules circulated by the Law Department besides getting themselves registrations in the office of Provincial Rehabilitation Officer Jammu province in the year 1954 and have got FARM A. Further they have also enclosed J&K Legislative Assembly 1951 —1952 election voter list with the State Subject file and on this solid proof of identity the PoJK Sharnarthis should be automatically exempted and considered as domiciles of J&K.
