SAMBA, Dec 27: A Constable of J&K Police was arrested on the charge of eve-teasing in a bus at Bari Brahmana today.
A senior police officer said that Constable Rajinder Singh, son of Mohinder Singh, resident of R S Pura was traveling in a bus moving towards Samba from Jammu. He was sitting with a girl on a seat. The girl raised alarm in moving bus after the cop allegedly harassed her physically.
On this, the other passengers stopped the bus at Bari Brahmana and after giving thrashing handed over the cop to PCR Gypsy men. The Constable has been booked under Section 294 RPC by Bari Brahmana police and was finally arrested. He belonged to Jammu District Police and was presently posted on guard duty at Kot Bhalwal jail.
