Copper strengthens on scattered demand

NEW DELHI, May 16:  Copper prices edged higher by Rs 2 per kg at the non-ferrous metal market today on scattered demand from consuming industries.
However, other base metals continued to move in a narrow range and settled at last levels.
Traders said mild demand from consuming industries mainly led to rise in copper prices.
In the national capital, copper mixed scrap rose by Rs 2 to Rs 402 per kg.

Zinc ingot Rs 109-115, Nickel plate (4×4) Rs 1,036-1,041, Gun metal scrap Rs 227, Bell metal scrap Rs 229, Copper mixed scrap Rs 402, Chadri deshi Rs 285.
Lead ingot Rs 100, Lead imported Rs 101, Aluminum ingots Rs 154, Aluminum sheet cutting Rs 155, Aluminum wire scrap Rs 157 and Aluminum utensils scrap Rs 154. (PTI)
