KISHTWAR, Sept 28: Timely action by Police here today saved the life of a woman who attempted to jump into Chenab River from Bhandarkoot Bridge.
Police has started investigation into the matter to determine the circumstances surrounding the suicide bid.
SSP Kishtwar, Khalil Poswal commended the vigilance of cops on duty for saving the precious life and expressed serious concern about the rising number of suicide attempts in Kishtwar particularly among the women.
He appealed to the public to come forward and report grievances related to domestic violence.
