JAMMU, May 20: Jammu & Kashmir Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes & Backward Classes Development Corporation Limited, Vice-Chairperson, Balbir Ram, chaired a meeting of the senior functionaries of Jammu division as well as District Office, Jammu of the said Corporation.
He also met a group of loan aspirants there and apprised them about the various schemes being implemented by the Corporation in collaboration with the national level Corporations of Government of India for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward Classes, Notified Minorities and handicapped people.
Balbir Ram, while speaking in the meeting, stressed upon the Corporation management as well as functionaries for adopting a sympathetic approach towards the target groups by facilitating them to avail financial schemes to start earning own livelihood instead of sitting idle or waiting for Government jobs. He reminded them that they have been provided an opportunity to extend help to down-trodden people to earn living bread and lead a respectable life in the society. Infact, the Corporation officials have been performing a noble cause so there should be no delay while dealing with the people who approach them to get loan benefits.
Further, the Vice Chairperson reiterated full support to the Corporation functionaries and assured them that he will remain steadfast in removing the bottlenecks in the implementation of various schemes by taking up those issues at the appropriate level with the Government so that maximum funds could be availed from the apex Corporations and more and more target group people could be covered and benefitted by the schemes. He also asked the functionaries of the Corporation to work with extra zeal and dedication and put in extra efforts to recover the outstanding loans at the earliest.
Divisional Manager Gulam Qadir Khatana, Kathua District Field Supervisor Sanjay Abrol, Accountant Commercial, Head Office Manoj Kumar and Junior Assistant Raj Kumar attended the meeting.
