Cotton spinning shop gutted

MENDHAR, Apr 9:  A fire broke out in a cotton spinning unit/ shop in Tehsil Mendhar of Poonch district on Saturday morning.
Reports said early in the morning at around 5 am today,  a cotton spinning and quilt/ pillows shop outside the house of former MLA Javed Rana caught fire.  The fire was brought under control with the help of people.  The reason behind the fire could be a short circuit while the police was investigating into the matter.
The victim owner of the shop, Mohammad Gaffar, son of Mohammad Satar, resident of Bihar is pleading for help from the administration.  Gaffar said that he was working on a cotton machine here by taking loan from local people. With today’s incident he has suffered a loss of about Rs 2 to 3 lakhs.
A case has been registered at the Police Station, Mendhar and investigation has been started.
