JAMMU, Oct 17: Country Kids Play School, Subash Nagar celebrated its Annual Day with enthusiasm.
The event started with the lighting of the lamp ceremony. The auditorium echoed with the sound of hymn followed by Sarswati Vandna performance by the little girls.
Colonel MS Jamwal, Secretary, Rajput Charitable trust and Patron of DPS Jammu was the chief guest, while Group Captain Pawan Kumar, ex Principal MBS College of Engineering was the guest of honour. Colonel VK Bakshi was the special guest. A large number of dignitaries and distinguished parents also attended the function.
School Principal Sujata Sharma presented the welcome address and highlighted the achievements of the students in curricular and co-curricular activities.
The theme of the day was ‘Expectations’. Tiny tots performed a variety of colourful items including group dances, solo performances and karate show. All were well knitted to convey the valuable message to the society and the parents to level their expectations to a limit matching to the child’s capacity and inclination. Tiny tots captivated the audience with their wonderful confidence.
A patriotic performance “Yeh Desh Hai Veer Jawano Ka” instilled spirit of patriotism among audience.
Later, Colonel MS Jamwal gave away the prizes to the winners of various competitions. He also appreciated the efforts of the school to convey a very important and much required message to the parents through this platform.
Group Captain Pawan Kumar urged the parents not to impose their dreams upon the children and let them grow naturally.
Chairman of the school Wing Commander GL Sharma presented vote of thanks.
At the end, the finale performance “Ashaen’ compelled even the audience to swing to the tune.
