UDHAMPUR, April 20: A young couple was found dead inside a car near Darsu Dhar Road Udhampur, here late last night under mysterious circumstances.
According to the police report, a silver colored Alto car, bearing registration number JK 21E-2638 was found parked on the roadside at Dhar Road Darsu in which a young male and one female were lying unconscious. The vehicle was locked from inside.
After receipt of information in this regard, a Police party led by SI Akhilesh, Incharge PP Raoundomail Dhar Road Udhampur, rushed to the spot and took the unconscious couple to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors declared them as brought dead.
The deceased were identified as Rahul Kalotra (30), son of Vijay Kumar, resident of Dagore, Gurha Slathia Samba and Bimla Devi (30) wife of Abdul Rehman and daughter of Beli Ram of Ramgarh Samba. She had married to an Ex-Serviceman from Assam and renamed herself as Mehmooda Begum.
Cause of death could not be ascertained while both the bodies were later sent for postmortem. After completion of all the legal formalities, the bodies were today handed over to the family members.
Udhampur police has registered a case in this regard and started further investigation.
