Court asks Jasrotia Sanatan Dharam Sabha to maintain status quo

KATHUA, June 21: The Court of Sub Judge Kathua has issued directives to both the parties in a case pertaining to Election of Jasrotia Sanatan Dharam Sabha to maintain status quo on spot vis-a –vis their position and not to claim any right over any post in the Biradri.
In a petition Thakur Jagdish Singh Jasrotia versus Avtar Singh the court also observed that elections to the Sabha were due for June 12 but were held on June 10. Moreover there were 65 elected members in the Biradri as per the resolution attached while only eight members have participated in elections. The Court has issued directives to the concerned parties that the elections should be held as per the Constitution and there was noting on record to show that the elections which were held on June 10 and were to be held on June 12 were conducted as per Constitution.
