Court awards 3 yrs RI in attempt to murder case

JAMMU, Dec 21: Principal Sessions Judge Kathua, M K Hanjura today awarded three years rigorous imprisonment to Prem Singh, who was facing trial in attempt to murder case for the last 10 years.
According to the police case, on August 18, 2002, one Kuldeep Singh, son of Prem Singh of Kathua was attacked by the accused person with sickle with the intention to kill him. Accordingly, a case under Sections 307/326/324 RPC was registered and after completion of investigation challan was presented in the court of law.
After hearing Advocate Rajinder Sharma for the accused person and Public Prosecutor Ravi Kumar Gupta for the State, Principal Sessions Judge Kathua awarded three years rigorous imprisonment to Prem Singh.
