JAMMU, Aug 2: City Judge Jammu Sandeep Kour has rejected the bail application of one Asgar Ali, who was arrested by the police in kidnapping and minor rape case registered on June 27, 2014.
After hearing Senior PO Anshuman Dubey, who vehemently opposed the bail, City Judge Jammu observed, “in the instant case the fact cannot be ignored that the investigation is in initial stage and the trial is yet to be commence”, adding “prosecution also shown apprehension of the accused absconding and tampering with evidence”.
“The offence against the accused is quite serious in nature for being committed on a minor and grant of bail will give wrong signal to the society and shake the confidence of the people in the court”, City Judge said.
With these observations, court rejected the bail application.
