JAMMU, Aug 2: Principal Sessions Judge Jammu Vinod Chatterji Koul today rejected the bail application of two drug peddlers.
These drug peddlers namely Kulwant Singh, son of Budha Singh of Gurupura and Zahoor Ahmed, son of Jalal Din of Pulwama, were arrested in June last year along with huge quantity of poppy straw
After hearing both the sides, court observed, “there is evidence produced by the prosecution regarding the recovery of commercial quantity of poppy straw from the possession of the accused”, adding “the trial is still going on and it is not permissible at this stage to hold as to whether the charge is proved or not”.
With these observations, court rejected the bail application.
