Court directs SHO to investigate matter against 6 persons

JAMMU, Dec 1: In the much publicized Narwal fire incident, City Judge Jammu M S Manhas today directed the SHO Police Station Bahu Fort to investigation the matter in the light of complaint filed by four persons.
In the complaint filed by Mohd Illayas and three others, it has been submitted that the applicants along with 80 other families were living at Narwal Bala since years and they were paying rent to their landlord.
They further submitted that accused persons namely Liaqat Ali and Mohd Sadiq, sons of Firoz Din, Sajjad Ahmed and Shakeel Ahmed, sons of Mohd Sadiq, Abdul Rashid, son of Firoz Din and Faryad Khan, son of Mohd Sain, all the residents of Narwal Bala were annoyed with the landlord of the applicants as some dispute of land was going on between them.
“All the accused persons used to threaten us since years that they will burn our jhuggis in order to vacate the land. Many refugees were even beaten mercilessly by these persons or their hired goons. Some persons even left the area after they were brutally beaten by accused persons”, the applicants said while pleading for issuance of directions for registration of FIR against these persons.
