JAMMU, June 16: City Judge Jammu MS Manhas has stayed the operation of the impugned notification dated 12-08-13 and Order Number 182 dated 15-03-16 issued by J&K State Sports Council.
Vide order number 182 dated 15-03-16, the State Sports Council had withdrawn the recognition granted to J&K Olympic Association.
The Council had also declared Olympic Association as ineligible for grant-in-aid as well as other forms of assistance from the State Government and Sports Council.
This order was challenged by Olympic Association and the Court of City Judge ordered “the operation of the impugned notification dated 12-08-13 and Order Number 182 dated 15-03-2016 issued by J&K State Sports Council is hereby stayed and non-applicants/defendants are temporarily restrained from forming/constituting adhoc for the applicant/plaintiff till the disposal of the main suit. Application is accordingly disposed of and will form part of the main suit”.
