JAMMU, Aug 17: Continuing the crackdown against illegal mining in river Tawi area and many adjoining streams in violation to High Court orders, police seized 7 vehicles.
As per official sources, various teams from Nagrota Sub Division led by SHO Jhajjar Kotli Inspector Rakesh Khajuria, Incharge Police Post Manwal Vikram Singh and Incharge Police Post Sidhra Ayub Khan under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Mohan Sharma seized 7 vehicles.
The vehicles were challaned through Geology and Mining Department.
The raids will continue and the drive is being conducted intensively and will be consistent in coming days seeking public cooperation, sources added.
