JAMMU, Dec 22: To infuse a sense of compassion for the poorest of poor and the destitute, the students of Cradle 2 Crayons School, Lower Roopnagar donated different articles of use among the inmates of Mother Teresa’s Missionaries of Charity Home at Janipur, here today.
The little students went around the wards, interacted with the inmates, saw the meditation hall, met the sisters and nuns that run the charity and made a prayer before the statues of Mother Mary and Jesus Christ before serving the food to the invalids and the sick.
The visit to this less frequented place was particularly chosen by the school to insinuate in the students an attitude of finding joy in charity.
This gesture of empathy shown by the school is likely to motivate larger segments of society in this direction.
