Crescent Public School celebrates 13th Annual Day with vibrancy

JAMMU, Dec 14: Crescent Public School Janipur celebrated its 13th Annual Day amidst great zest, vibrancy and elation at General Zorawar Singh Auditorium, University of Jammu, here today.
Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, Minister for Education, J&K was the chief guest on the occasion, while Farooq Ahmad Shah, Secretary, Tourism was the guest of honour. S. Ravinder Singh, Director School Education, Jammu,  JK Sudan, Chief Education Officer, Jammu and GN Var, President J&K Private School Association, Srinagar, were the special guests.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Arshad Choudhary, Chairman;  Tasneem Kouser, Managing Director; Imran Choudhary, Vice-Chairman; Arslan Arshad, Director; Dr Ambreen, Joint Director;   Mobeen Syed, Academic Director and Bhavna Kaushal, Principal.
The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest and guest of honour, who were accompanied by other dignitaries and the Principal. This entailed the bouquet presentation and pinning of badges.
A soulful rendition by the little Crescentians singing the school song “The Blazing sun of CPS” was followed by a dance ‘Vande-Matram’- A tribute to Mother India.
A token of gratitude was presented by the Chairman, Arshad Choudhary in his Welcome Address.
The Annual Report was rendered by the school Principal, Bhavna Kaushal, who highlighted the achievements of the school in both academic and co-curricular activities.
Students presented variety of cultural items and showcased their talent by means of group song, orchestra and thematic dance performances.
All the meritorious students as well as students with outstanding performances in both sports and SOF were awarded by chief guest and the guest of honour.
The Annual Cultural Ballet ‘Saga-2017’ was woven around the theme ‘History of J&K, whioch was delight to watch.
The chief guest lauded the efforts of the Principal and her team for making the school one of the best schools in Jammu division. He urged the teaching fraternity to provide quality education to students so that they become responsible citizens.
Mr Shah and Mr Var emphasized the need for inculcating the moral values among students for prosperous future of society.
The folk dance ‘Bhangra’ left everyone jovial.
“Hum Sab Bhartiya Hai” sung by the teachers was the mesmerizing moment of the day.
The programme concluded with the vote of thanks presented by Arslan Arshad, the Director of School.
