Cricket, Football matches held during Audit Week Celebrations

JAMMU, Nov 21: Continuing the Audit Week celebrations, the offices of the Principal Accountants General (Audit and A&E) organized Cricket and Football matches at the Birla Open Minds Academy, Channi Himmat, Jammu wherein employees from Audit Office, A&E Office and Regional Training Institute, Jammu participated with zeal and enthusiasm.
Four teams captained by Ram Dayal, Bandeep Singh, Vimarsh Kaw and Aditya Pratap Singh, all former Ranji Trophy players from J&K participated in the Cricket Tournament. The Chief Guest on the occasion was Randhir Singh, former Ranji Trophy Coach. The tournament was inaugurated by Jagbir Singh, Deputy Accountant General (Audit) and Sukhdarshan Singh, Deputy Accountant General (A&E). Two semi-finals and a final match of 10 overs were played between the teams. Final was played between teams led by Bandeep Singh and Ram Dayal. Batting first the team led by Bandeep Singh set a target of 124 and while chasing the team led by Ram Dayal could only manage to score 90 runs and the match was won by Bandeep Singh’s team by 33 runs.
A football match was also played between the teams captained by Amanjot Singh and Nirsdosh Sagotra. The team led by Amanjot Singh won the match by 4-2. Moon Stephen, Football Coach was the Chief Guest for the event. Both the tournaments were coordinated by Surjit Singh, Senior Audit Officer and his team.
