AKHNOOR, June 12: A friendship Cup cricket tournament was held at Kodewala, Akhnoor in which Kodewala Cricket Club defeated Kings-11 Kodewala by 26 runs and lifted the trophy here today.
After winning the toss, Kings- 11 Kodewala elected to bowl first. The Kodewala Cricket Club scored 179/1 in 12 overs while chasing, Kings -11 Kodewala scored 153/8 in 12 overs and lost the match by 26 runs.
Rahil was declared as man of the match and Ajay Sharma as man of the series.
Sham Singh Langeh, (Zonal Head All India Divyang Cricket Control Board of India) was the Chief Guest on the occasion who distributed prizes among the players. He advised the youngsters to focus on study and sports equally and also asked them to prepare themselves for competitive exams as well.
