NAGROTA, June 28: Jammu Sports and JK against Corruption organized a Cricket match at Khel Gaon, Nagrota to provide opportunities to players to learn the skill as well techniques of the game. During the match, former Ranji player Sameer Khajuria was the chief guest, he advised all the players to play with discipline, spirit and good sportsmanship.
The match was played between Jammu Sports A and Jammu Sports B. Jammu Sports B won the toss and their captain Harshit Singh Bhadwal decided to bat first. Harshit Singh and Chatniya Dogra came to bat first and lost their first wicket at a score of 110. Harshit Singh scored 56, Aarav Singh 19, Karanveer Padha 15, Chatniya Dogra 11 while Ankush and Aditya scored 10 runs each and set a target of 186 runs.
Usman, Danjay and Aade Khajuria got one wicket each. Jammu Sports A while chasing the target lost 3 wickets in 5 overs mere a score of 30 runs, captain Rashpal Singh scored a rocking knock of 59 runs of 33 balls and Rizwal Sharma scored 34 runs, Danjay 13, Piyush 10.
Jammu Sports got all out at a score of 169. Harshit Singh Bhadwal (c) clinched 5 wickets in 4 overs by giving only 17 runs while Sandeep and Zeshan got 2 wickets each. Harshit Singh Bhadwal was declared as man of the match for his outstanding performance. Prominent members who were present were Vikram Singh, Vikram Dogra, Asif Iqbal and others.
