SAMBA, Oct 27: A Cricket tournament in memory of Abhimanyu Sambyal commenced here today at the Thalora Mandi Sports Ground, featuring eight competing teams from the Samba district. In an exciting first match, Kotli Mandi triumphed over Kheri Mandi, taking an early lead in the tournament.
Kheri Mandi won the toss and elected to bat first, but they could only muster 66 runs in 12 overs. Kotli Mandi’s Tarun delivered a remarkable bowling performance, claiming 4 wickets and restricting Kheri Mandi from achieving a substantial score. In reply, Kotli Mandi chased down the target, with standout player Mantri Sambyal hitting multiple boundaries to secure the win. His outstanding performance earned him the title of Best Player of the Match.
