SRINAGAR, May 28: S J M Gillani, IGP Kashmir, who is the Director of Police Public Cricket Premier League (PPCPL) has informed that 10 teams have confirmed their participation in the cricketing extravaganza, commencing from June 6, 2015 at Sher-i-Kashmir Cricket Stadium, here.
According to the organizers, the national cricketers as well as cricketers of Colleges, Universities, besides local players will take part in this league.
The IGP further informed that the inaugural function of the league will be held at Sher-i-Kashmir Cricket Ground of Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association on June 6, 2015 in the evening, adding that renowned singers from Bollywood and anchors of IPL have also been invited for the inaugural ceremony.
He further informed that the one hour long entertainment programme is likely to have attractions like Laser show, acrobatic dance, fire dance and speed painting, besides a music band will give a live performance.
Amit Kumar, SSP Srinagar and Nodal Officer of the league while giving details said that the ten teams which have registered themselves with the league so far include Murtaza Warriors, Ramhalls Lions, Simula Superstars, BCC Bulls, Al Hamaza Super Kings, TCI Max, HK stars, Anantnag Kings, Mirza Gladiators and JKP Tigers.
