Crime against children

Sir,
This is apropos the “Children in India report 2012′ brought out by Ministry of Statistics and Programme implementation. The survey carried out and resultant data compiled makes a startling disclosure in respect of the crime against children having registered upward escalation by 24 percent and this is amply corroborated by the media reports being splashed for the public consumption on regular basis with prolonged frequency. The report has also made a spine chilling revelation in the vital constituency of “feticide” whose deliberate indulgence  has posted increase to the extent of 19 percent in the states of MP, Chhattisgarh and Punjab.
It is beyond the extremity of exaggeration and rebuttal that the children are the real asset  of any nation as in them are lying the budding charismatic leaders, the invincible generals, commanders. The phenomenal social, reformers. Any political dispensation worth its salt with an iota of the skilled governance would strive hard and shall not allow their progeny to face the terminal and fatal cruelities. The most heinous inhuman and unethical crime of foeticide calls for ruthless and instant annihilation from the roots. Not the politicians but the statesmen, thinkers ahead of their times may foresee the lurking social inferno with horrible ramifications wherein the male, female ratio would irreversible diwindle.
We can not expect much from the present lot of politicians who are the victims of the system which is worn out, degenerated and totally incapacitated to deliver. The top brass lack will and determination to come out of their cocoon of lust, greed and self aggrandizement. The cohesive family unit has already crumbled.
There is no system of imparting the moral education to the upcoming generation and the system of delivery of justice  to the victims and matching punishment to the wrong doers and perpetrators of crime is too slow, cumbersome and hostage of evidence. The social activistis, enlightened citizens and the youth as change mongers have to take the call.
Yours etc….
