JAMMU, June 28: Panjtirthi police arrested a criminal along with sharp edged weapons ‘khokri’ and ‘punch’ from Manda.
As per police sources, on specific inputs, police party from Panjtirthi police post laid a naka near Manda and intercepted a Maruti car without registration number.
During checking, police recovered sharp edged weapons ‘khokri’ and ‘punch’ and arrested the criminal, who has been identified as Shakeel Ahmed, son of Fiaz Ahmed, a resident of Surankote, district Poonch. The maruti car was also seized.
A case under FIR number 103/14 under Section 4/25 Arms Act has been registered at police post Panjtirthi and investigation started.
Police team headed by SI Rajesh Kumar made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Pacca Danga police station Daljeet Singh, SDPO North Kulbir Handa and SP City Yougal Manhas.
