Jammu, July 25: Atul International Taekwondo Academy emerged overall Champion for 2nd J&K State (Cadet)Taekwondo Championship, while BSF claimed overall Championship for 8th Open J&K State Taekwondo Championship 2015-16, which concluded here today.
In 2nd J&K State (Cadet) Taekwondo Championship, District Kathua and CRPF claimed 1st and 2nd runners-up titles respectively, while in 8th Open J&K State Taekwondo Championship, BSF and Atul International Taekwondo Academy claimed the 1st and 2nd runners-up spots respectively.
The Championship was organized at CRPF Group Camp, Bantalab, Jammu, under the aegis of Jammu and Kashmir Taekwondo Association and Taekwondo Federation of India.
Around 800 players/officials participated in this championship and players from almost all the districts of the State showcased their skills.
The chief guest of the Closing Ceremony was Chander Mohan Sharma, Vice President BJP J&K and Chairman Tawi Bachao Andolan.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Surinder Prasad, Commandant GC CRPF Bantalab, DS Bisht, Deputy Commandant CRPF, Vikrant Verma, Deputy Commandant CRPF, Nitish Arora, 0All India Radio, Arun Malhotra, International Football Player, B R Meena, AC CRPF and Srikant, AC CRPF.
The function was presided over by DN Pangotra, general secretary JKTA.
