SRINAGAR, Dec 24: The 183 Battalion of CRPF installed LED lights in villages Newa, Kakapora, Belau, Hawal and Sangerwani of district Pulwama under Civic Action Programe.
Officials from civil administration, prominent persons, sarpanchs and local public of above villages witnessed the programmes and hoped that such type of sincere efforts will definitely bridge the gap between the public and the security forces amid the grim situation prevailing in the Valley.
Vinay Anand Prakash, Commandant, 183 Battalion highlighted development endeavours initiated by 183 Battalion and assured the CRPF is commitment to organize similar programmes in future also.
Since the deployment of 183 Battalion CRPF in Pulwama, many programmes under Civic Action Programme like free medical camps, blood domination camp, free coaching classes for unemployed youth, distribution of sports kits and sports tournaments were also organised to develop good faith and maintain cordial relations with locals, he added.
