SRINAGAR, Sept 9: Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Inter Battalion (Operation) Group Centre, Lawn Tennis Tournament (GO’s)-2023 was organised by 79 Battalion at Amar Singh Club, Sonwar, here today.
There were 14 players from nine institutions participated in this competition. The final match of the singles competition was played between R. Jaya Kumar, Commandant, Srinagar Sector, CRPF and Tribhuwan Pratap Singh, Deputy Commandant, 79 Battalion CRPF which ended with draw and due to Paucity of time, both the players were declared joint winners of this tournament.
The final match of the doubles competition was played between R. Jaya Kumar, Commandant, Srinagar Sector, CRPF and Rajiv Tiwari, Second In Command, 49 Battalion CRPF and Nadeem Ahmed Samdani, Commandant, 144 Battalion and Abhiram Pankaj, Second In Command, 117 Battalion also ended with draw.
Chief guest, Ajay Kumar Yadav, Inspector General of Police, Srinagar Sector Central Reserve Police Force appreciated the excellent sportsmanship of the players and praised Kishore Kumar, Commandant, 79 Battalion, CRPF for successfully conducting the tournament.
