JAMMU, May 11: Inter-Battalion/GC Weightlifting Competition, organized by 166 Battalion of Central Reserve Police Force, commenced at Sidhra, here today.
The event was inaugurated by Devendra Kumar Yadav, DIG CRPF Range Hiranagar in presence of Suresh Kumar, Second Commanding Officer and other officers of 166 Battalion wherein 38 participants of 11 Battalions as well as Group Centre CRPF Hiranagar are participating.
These participants will participate in seven weight categories including 61 kg, 67kg, 73kg, 81kg, 89kg, 96 kg and 102kg.
During the inaugural ceremony, the snatch, clean and jerk movement were performed by the participants under the supervision of CRPF personnel and officers of 166 Battalion who have been deputed for the conduct of the event.
